The Gaston County Chapter of the Concerned Bikers Association (CBA/ABATE) of North Carolina has been in service to our brothers and sisters in Gaston and our surrounding "biker" communities since 2006. Our Chapter is one of the largest in the State, with over 250 members; and perhaps, the only one that has a City Mayor on its membership roster.
Statewide, CBA/Abate has created a team focused on the preservation of biker rights and freedoms by defending against oppressive legislation.
The Goals of our Association are simple:
- To organize motorcycle riders, unite them under a common purpose, both within our local communities and around the State, in order to achieve our common goals.
- To promote fair legislation pertaining to motorcyclists, by working to prevent unjust enactments that discriminate against us, or by working to repeal unfair legislation already in place.
- To work toward eliminating prejudicial attitudes toward motorcyclists.
- To promote motorcycle education, motorcycle riding training programs, and raise public awareness about the specific dangers that we face out there on the road.
- To improve the public image of motorcycling, by participating in public service events and charitable projects within our local and surrounding communities.
- To foster a sense of brotherhood, sisterhood and a spirit of cooperation among ALL motorcyclists'.
